HelpMyCar respects the privacy of its users and is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This Privacy Policy explains which personal data is collected, how it is used, why it is processed and what rights users have.
By using the HelpMyCar app and/or website, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. ABOUT HELPMYCAR
HelpMyCar is a digital platform that connects customers with independent professional towing, roadside assistance and vehicle transport providers.
HelpMyCar does not perform towing, transport or roadside assistance services itself and acts only as a digital platform connecting customers and partners.

3. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?
Customers: first and last name, phone number, e-mail address, GPS location, vehicle details, ride/job details, payment data via Stripe and device tokens for push notifications.
Partners: first and last name, company name, company/VAT number, phone number, e-mail address, driving licence details or copy, insurance documents, permits or registrations, working area, operational status, Stripe Connect details and GPS location during active jobs.
4. WHY DO WE COLLECT THIS DATA?
We process personal data to provide HelpMyCar services, connect customers and partners, manage jobs, process payments and payouts, verify partners, check documents and insurance, prevent fraud, provide support, improve safety, comply with legal obligations and improve the platform.
5. LOCATION DATA
For customers, GPS location is used to determine the vehicle location and find a nearby available partner.
For partners, during active jobs the app may collect location data, including background location, to enable real-time tracking, show ETA, assign jobs and follow progress.
Location data is not sold to third parties.
6. PAYMENTS
Payments and payouts are processed through Stripe and Stripe Connect. HelpMyCar does not store full card or bank details on its own systems.
7. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND THIRD PARTIES
HelpMyCar may share data with Stripe, AWS, Twilio, Google Maps API and other necessary technical service providers.
8. NO SALE OF DATA
HelpMyCar does not sell, rent or provide personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
9. RETENTION PERIODS
Personal data is kept only as long as necessary. Invoicing and transaction data may be retained for up to 7 years in accordance with legal obligations.
10. SECURITY
HelpMyCar takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
11. USER RIGHTS
Users have the right to access, correct, delete, object to processing, transfer data and restrict processing. Requests can be sent to HelpMyCar.
12. ACCOUNT DELETION
Users may request deletion of their account. Certain data may be retained where legally required or necessary for payments, disputes, fraud investigations or legal obligations.
13. RESPONSIBILITY OF PARTNERS
Partners are independent businesses and act under their own responsibility. They are responsible for their business activities, documents, insurance, vehicles, materials, taxes and correct execution of services.
Damage claims, disputes and liabilities arising from a job must be handled directly between the customer and the relevant partner.
14. CHANGES
HelpMyCar may change this Privacy Policy at any time. The latest version will be published via the app and/or website.
